Where oh where has Emma gone?

I know I have been absent from MFC for quite a while and you all have seriously pumped my ego up by asking where I have been (awww, such love I feel!).

The short answer: For the time being I am taking a break from camming :)  I got offered a wonderful job and sadly that just doesn’t leave time for MFC at the moment.  I haven’t disappeared completely though, I am still around on twitter and I will try to keep up and post on tumblr relatively often.  I miss all of you and those crazy late knitting nights on mfc :)

So what is going on with me?

Well, I am traveling a lot for my new job so that is keeping me busy and showing me a little bit of the world.  I just went scuba diving for the first time, which has always been a dream of mine!

Both my horsies are still out of commission but there is a tiny possibility that Frankie may be rideable again soon! YAY!  Not that I don’t love having two glorified lawn ornaments but it would be sweet to have a horse I can ride again.

Thankfully I am still getting the chance to ride and I actually started riding with a new trainer which is something I haven’t had the ability to do in a very long time.  He is definitely taking my riding to a new level and I will be going to my first recognized show in a very long time in March.  I am working hard to do well and (cross your fingers) hopefully I won’t make a fool of myself :P

I am building up some merchandise for my etsy store (www.loveviolet.net) and in the next month or so I will be revamping my store and adding a HUGE amount of merchandise.  Stay tuned on twitter for sneak peaks of what is going to be up for sale.  Hint: My latest creation was finished last night and it says, “pika pika!”

Please stay in touch, I have met some amazing people via camming and I am still interested in what is going on with all of you!  Don’t be discouraged if I’m tricky to get ahold of, just keep badgering me :D

Don’t worry, not leaving MFC or camming :)  I left my job teaching lessons.  I really needed to get out of there but that doesn’t mean it was an easy move because I loved everyone there (just not my bosses!!!).  Phew, so it was one crazy weekend.  I don’t think I could handle that much excitement every weekend :P

But the good news for you all is that I will be on cam much more :)

It has definitely been a week of changes.  Well, a few months actually.  Both my horses are totally unrideable (well, MAYBE — a big maybe — one will be rideable again).  Which is horribly, completely, utterly awful but the good news is that they are both pretty happy despite this.  :)  They are going to get to live their lives out playing in a pasture with other ponies - YAY!

In case you haven’t seen my ponies… the first one is Bacchus (aka Debacle) and the second (with the purple halter) is Frankie (aka Frank Sinatra - lol or Frankie Says Relax).  They are both rescue ponies and are so so sweet.  Those of you who don’t know horses maybe don’t realize how different horsie personalities are but these two are so completely different…

Frankie is everybody’s buddy (lol, attention whore!).  If he had a choice he would be surrounded by everyone and anyone alllll the time - the more pets the better.  He is totally fearless, nothing scares him and very enthusiastic about jumping (he even will jump obstacles in the arena when I let him out to run around)!  He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.  He is very talkative and when I leave him alone and walk back to him he will whinny when I start talking to him (awww!).

Bacchus is a one person horse.  He is an angel for me but gives pretty much everyone else hell.  :D  In his hay day (lol, hay) he was an amazing jumper and did beautiful dressage (google it!).  He isn’t as fearless as Frankie but he says he just has a more developed sense of self preservation.  He loves the beach and going in the surf :)  He is very gentle (with me) and is so forgiving when I make a mistake, when he was jumping he would jump anything I pointed him at.  I swear he would have jumped the moon if I had asked!  Despite the fact that he was pretty particular with his love, if a beginner was riding him he would take SUCH good care of them.  My big, bad event horse would turn into a super relaxed, sweet boy who was as easy as pie to ride. :)

Speaking of my ponies… I’m off to see them now!
